New Look, Same Heart
As we mark six years of ʻOhana Meals—formerly Kūpuna and Family Meals—this month, we're pleased to introduce a refreshed newsletter design in both hardcopy and digital formats for you to enjoy.
Our printed Kūpuna Foodie Connection later evolved into ʻOhana Foodie Connection when we renamed our employment social enterprise to ʻOhana Meals in 2024. Over time, this community has grown not only in numbers, but also in engagement and involvement beyond weekly menus and pickups. Many of you have become our strongest champions—supporting our mission to serve individuals facing barriers to employment as loyal customers, dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and enthusiastic ambassadors who share about our organization with friends and family.
As our community has evolved, so has the role of this newsletter. It's no longer just about sharing menus—it's also a way for us to stay connected with you and share updates from across Touch A Heart. With that in mind, we've renamed it Heart-to-Heart Connection, reflecting the spirit of conversation and community we hope to foster each week.
This refreshed design also allows us to expand the types of content we share, including updates from our programs and employment social enterprises—Baker's Heart, ʻOhana Meals, and Touch A Heart Catering. We also look forward to sharing ideas and insights that invite all of us to learn and grow together, as many of the lessons we explore—such as the Growth Mindset principles we teach—are meaningful for everyone.
We're grateful to continue sharing both a printed and digital newsletter with you each week, and we appreciate the many ways you stay engaged with our work.
