Partners in Healing and Hope
Meaningful change happens when people come together to support others from every angle. That's why we're grateful for our growing partnership with Dynamic Healing Center (DHC).
Founded in 2019, DHC helps individuals and families statewide rebuild their lives through services including emergency and transitional housing, individual and family therapy, substance abuse treatment, domestic violence prevention, and case management. Their clients include those transitioning from incarceration and women and children experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Our partnership began after several DHC clients shared positive experiences at Touch A Heart, leading DHC to make direct referrals to our foodservice vocational training program. Most recently, we've celebrated the graduation of Krista and Gail, welcomed Hannah into our current cohort and Gail as an apprentice.
DHC Founder and Executive Director Dr. Annie Anderson says our partnership has strengthened the support available to their clients. "Touch A Heart provides the workforce certification that complements all of the other supportive services and housing that DHC provides, so it's a great and valuable partnership," she shared. "We appreciate the positive, supportive, and nurturing environment they provide."
One highlight for Dr. Anderson was seeing both of our teams come together to help an individual following a personal tragedy. "Touch A Heart provided immediate support, flexibility with her schedule, and counseling where needed," she shared. "The wraparound approach allowed her to continue experiencing success." She also noted that attending our graduation ceremony in May, surrounded by families and other partners, was a powerful reminder of the importance of community.
Looking ahead, DHC hopes to strengthen its partnership with us through continued referrals and by utilizing ʻOhana Meals and Touch A Heart Catering.
