TOUCH A HEART NEWSLETTER | JUNE 10, 2026
Welcome Back, Leslie!
Many members of our Touch A Heart community will remember Leslie from her time as an intern and apprentice. After several years away, we're excited to welcome her back in a new role as our Baker & Trainer.
"Returning home has felt like a combination of excitement and change as I continue to take on new challenges," Leslie shared. "The transition has brought back many memories and allowed me to see how much I've grown personally and professionally."
Leslie first joined us through our foodservice vocational training program in 2020 before continuing on as an apprentice. During her time away, she navigated significant life challenges while remaining connected to Touch A Heart. Today, she returns as a full-time staff member, bringing her journey full circle and offering a powerful example of growth, resilience, and the impact of second chances.
As Baker & Trainer, Leslie will be responsible for the quality Baker's Heart products and ʻOhana Meals desserts our customers know and love, while also helping train and mentor others participating in our programs.
Throughout her journey, Leslie says Touch A Heart remained a source of encouragement and support. "Even while I was away, I knew there were people who cared about me, which went a very long way," she said. "Today, I have the opportunity to give back to the organization and people who not only loved me, but invested so much in me."
For Leslie, returning is about more than a job—it's a chance to help others while continuing to grow herself. She's especially grateful for the support she has received from the Touch A Heart community.
"I want to thank the Touch A Heart family and community for their support," she said. "Their encouragement and belief in me are proof of what can happen when people are given a chance, shown hope, and supported without judgment."
Please join us in welcoming Leslie back to Touch A Heart. We're grateful to have her as part of our team.
